![]() A suggestion was made to delete or disable my display driver. I'm trying to solve another problem, and this one came up. Will probably have to just shell out 230 euros for a 1060 it seems. I've sent Asus a RMA request, but i hold out little hope since my system is 5-6 ish years old and probably not covered anymore. If you have any ideas on how to fix it, please reply, thx Uninstalling using DDU and reinstalling the driverĬlearing CMOS by removing motherboard battery ![]() I've had to disable windows updates with registry edits, because it would automatically download the nvidia driver and lock my system up completely. It will only boot into windows only if i uninstall the nvidia driver and use the default video driver that displays the GPU as "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter". Now i can't get the system to boot into windows with the nvidia driver installed. I got weird artifacting on screen at first, which would go away after a few seconds (checkerboard pattern, but with red squares about 10 by 10 pixels). The first few times the gpu recovered ,then the whole system would lock up, forcing me to reset. I was playing overwatch and was experiencing driver crash issues.
